Abaco is a game of numbers, for very young boys and girls who are starting to discover the world. The laces of an abacus are the perfect metaphor for a line connecting an infinite number of points and experiences. Sometimes the points are very close to each other; sometimes they are far apart. The experiences turn into numbers, and as the numbers sum up to higher numbers, they give us the courage to find new things about the world and reach new goals. Abaco is like a thread to walk upon – reaching the end and coming back, time and time again -, an elastic to swing up and down, a string to be played… a friend to rely upon.
