SUM, which means “shadow” in the Akan language, is a wordless physical theatre performance that plays with and explores the very concept of shadow. In SUM, we play with our own shadow — until we lose it. From there begins a journey that takes us to places where we discover new ways of relating to shadows. The shadows of objects complete us, allowing our imagination to lead us into outer space or transform us into other animals…
This performance creates a space of coexistence between different artistic languages and expressive forms.
SUM was awarded Best Early Years Performance at FETEN 2025.
