The old washing machine at home has broken down. What could have gotten stuck in its gears to make it stop working? A sock? A toy? A little mouse? As we repair the washing machine, we discover the clothes of an entire family. All different. Just as all bodies are different from one another. The clothes start to move and dance in their own peculiar way.
To fix the washing machine, we’ll need a bit of electricity, a bit of singing, a bit of plumbing… and a bit of ballet. Ballet?! Yes, a bit of everything — though no one can promise the washing machine will actually be repaired. Lavarropas, the new dance performance for early childhood by Compañía Manada, invites us to play with the social roles we express through clothing — with humour and, of course, plenty of dance.

Lavarropas was awarded Best Family Dance Performance 2023 by the MUTA Awards.
