The performance is about the importance of exploring one’s own body — with curiosity and care — paying attention to every single part and experimenting with its potential. It also speaks of accepting the body: its flaws, its changes over time, the marks left by lived experiences.
The only set design: the body itself. A human body, a woman’s body, the body of a former gymnast. An actor’s body. A body that expresses itself, that learns to know itself, that tries to let all its parts live together.
A body inhabited like a space full of hidden possibilities, of ongoing discoveries — but also of surprises, and of things that are hard to understand or to accept — in a constant evolution that runs through all ages.
A corpo libero was born from the need to carry out artistic research not only for children, but with them. A research journey that took place inside nurseries and kindergartens, where the body became the material to be transformed, used in new ways to create shapes, gestures, and relationships with girls and boys.
