“If you stay here, you will not see another Spring. If you comewith me, I will teach you how to fly”. So says the master to thepupil in Paul Auster’s novel “Mr. Vertigo”, and this is where the idea of the show comes from. Vertigo is a feeling we get when we try to challenge our limits, when we try to do something that goes beyond our knowledge.
It is a feeling we get while we grow up, and it requires an act of courage or of strength to be overcome. And this act needs the support or the help of a “master”. Vertigo is a story about the relationship between master and pupil, a relationship that links learning to the will to know the world and the desire to reach a higher level of consciousness.
After “The call of the wild” and “The circle of cherry trees”, “Vertigo” isthe last production for the project “Me in the world”, a series of threeproductions that aimed at making the children see themselves as thinking individuals, able to reflect upon their role in the world.VIDEOPresentazione dello spettacolo
