FRÜH STÜCK

The title is ambiguous in German: “Frühstück” is the first meal of the day in the morning. “Früh” means “early” and “Stück” is a “part” of something, e.g. a “piece” of an apple, but also a theatre piece or music piece, a composition.
FRÜH STÜCK is therefore the meal in the morning but also the early (music/theatre) piece. And so in this production there is something to eat and drink, a breakfast, and at the same time the audience can follow how a soundscape is created from everyday sounds. It consists of sounds that are created in the theatre space by the performers and also by the audience. These sounds are condensed in the course of
the performance, rhythms and melodies emerge. Little by little, the audience becomes part of the soundscape.
